Our Final Globaloria Presentation

On May 11, our group, the Senioritas, presented our game demo to the Globaloria representatives in New York over a web cast.  Our game, "The Chemistry of Cosmetics," is a game about the harmful effects of tanning beds and cosmetics. We told the the representatives how we made our game, how we learned to make it, and how our game works.

Making Our Games

For the past few weeks, we've been working on our games on Flash.  I think we've made pretty good progress on finding information and graphics and putting them into our game.  It is looking great!

Halloooooowwww, Globaloria!

We have been looking up information and graphics for our Flash games this week.  My group is making very good progress on our game.  We have found lots of awesome pictures to use in our game, and we've found some important information about our topic. Our main researching focus right now is finding chemicals found in cosmetics, and figuring out their chemical equations.

Updating Our Team Pages

For the past two days in Globaloria, we've been updating our team pages.  But my group, the Redneck Senioritas, was already caught up before everyone else because we always do what we're supposed to! So we've just been making minor changes to our page and we've started working some more in Flash.

Making Buttons and Cursors

For the past two weeks in Globaloria, we've been learning how to make buttons and cursors in Flash.  We learned how to make different layers of actions, graphics, and text, and also how to make the buttons work.  Making the cursors were very interesting.  Learning how to use Flash is pretty awesome; it's cool to see how games are actually made.

What we learned in flash last week

In class last week, we learned how to do some different things on Flash.  We learned how to draw different things and how to make shapes, and also how to change colors and sizes.  We also learned how to insert keyframes and use the timeline, and how to lasso objects to make them move.
