Our Game Purpose

The main purpose of our game is to inform teenage girls about the harmful effects of cosmetics and tanning beds on skin over time.  We are going to make sure our game is not a quiz game by incorporating movement of the main character in the game.  She will walk from place to place.  We have our demo, prototype, and videos finished.

The name of our game is "The Chemistry of Cosmetics".  Ellie, Bryanna, and I are in a group together, and we are called the Redneck Senioritas.  Our game meets STEM by informing teenagers about the harmful chemicals in cosmetics, and the harmful effects tanning beds have on the body.  In our game, a girl named Madeline is preparing for prom.  Througout the game, she goes to the tanning bed, buys her prom dress, gets her nails done, and buys makeup.  To play the game, you guide Madeline through her preparations and help her make good and safe decisions about the products she uses.  You win the game by making all the right choices, and winning prom queen. 

Our very interesting experience with our substitute teacher

Last week, Mrs. Leef was gone for two days, so we had a substitute teacher.  Let's just say she's not the brightest crayon in the box. Between her cutting her hair at her desk and arguing with all the guys, it was quite hilarious!

What I've Learned and Liked About Creating Our Game

Learning how to create the bunny game on Flash has been very interesting!  I've never used Flash before, so learning how to use it was pretty cool.

As of right now, our group is brainstorming about our game ideas.  We are thinking about some kind of game about the desert. Haha :)

It's Friday in Globaloria..

We're all in great moods today in class, despite the fact that we're all draggin' from last night's football game.  (Great job last night guys, by the way! Keep the wins coming!) 

Why is it great to be a Senior? :)

     Being a Senior is awesome!  It's great getting all the privileges that we've waited to have for the past four years!  It might sound bad, but it's fun to finally be able to make the underclassmen mad by jumping to the front of the lunch line. Haha!  There's lots of perks that come with being a Senior, but there is also a lot of responsibility.  It's up to us to set a good example for the younger students, and show them how to act and present themselves.  In my opinion, we have one of the best senior classes that has went through Greenbrier West.  We will be good role models and everyone will remember the class of 2011!
